Welcome to Derby RFC!
This is Haslams home of Derby Rugby Club playing in Midlands Division Two
East coached by Alan Dickens (Northampton RFC scrumhalf). Supporting the
First XV we also have our Wildebeests XV (So named after the four-legged
beast in the field opposite the Club); a Development XV; our 4th XV; an
ultra-fit Vets XV; a Colts XV and the ‘Vipers’ a Ladies side formed just
last season.
We are also justly proud of our
Mini & Junior players and their coaches with two teams representing the club
last season at Twickenham HQ.
Rugby in Derby was officially
recognized as having been established in 1891 records being woolly before that
date.
In 2002, Derby RFC moved from the
much loved but crumbling Kedleston Road set-up to Haslams where you find the
‘Tigers’ today.
If you are interested in joining the club in a playing or non-playing
capacity, you will be made very welcome.
Just come along and make yourself known to any club officer.
On the other hand, if you simply want to watch a game or relax with a
friend over a drink/meal just walk in; there is no membership requirement for
this and we are open seven days a week.
We
look forward to meeting you.
