Introduction to Physio Clinics on
Tuesday's and Thursday's
For the 2008/09 season Derby RFC has two new
Physio's they are Jennifer Knibbs and Abi Brandon-White.
As in previous seasons the club will be providing physio
appointments at the club on Tuesday and Thursday evenings during the
season. Tuesday sessions will generally be handled by Abi
Brandon-White, Thursday sessions by Jen Knibbs. 8
appointments are available on each day from 6pm to 8pm,
with each one being of 15
minute duration.
The appointments are for use
by the whole club (for paid up members) but, for obvious reasons, 1st team
squad players will have priority. The major change to the operation of the
clinics this year will be that bookings should, wherever possible, be made
via the internet. This is to ease the burden on Abi and
Jen in taking and returning calls and texts during the day
when they are probably seeing other patients. Please use
this method of booking wherever possible. If you really do
not have access to the internet then you can call Abi or Jen
to make your appointment.

Jennifer Knibbs - mobile 07709 341709
Qualified from Manchester School of Physiotherapy in 2005.
After working for 18 months in the NHS, moved into private practice to work
at Belper Sports injuries Clinic and Derbyshire Sports Injuries Clinic.
Jen has had past experience in Rugby physiotherapy working with semi
professional and England Colts players.
Specific interests include upper limb and general sports injury rehab.
Abi Brandon-White - mobile Abi 07971 522247
Qualified as a physiotherapist from the University of Nottingham in 2005.
Work in the NHS at Derbyshire Royal Infirmary as a musculoskeletal
outpatient physio and also does some work in private practice (West
Bridgford Physiotherapy Clinic).
Along with her work at Derby, Abi has been a match-day physiotherapist for
Loughborough students 1st team men's rugby for the past three years.
Specific areas of interest include sports injuries and acute trauma.
